Signature Show – Reich’s Engineering Masterpiece in Sunset Town

News

Signature Show, one of Reich’s special projects in Sunset Town (South Phu Quoc), where sound and light shows are held, promises to become the new focal point of events and festivals in Phu Quoc. Therefore, the standards for aluminum and glass systems, details and structures are required to be very strict, especially the quality standards: anti-corrosion, light transmission and sound insulation.

The Signature Show stage of the investor Sun Group Corporation, with the cooperation of design consultants from the world’s leading companies: ECA2, Archea Associat, is built on the water, taking advantage of the space between land, sky and sea. The design with 3 concentric arcs connecting from large to small creates a magical sense of depth, inspired by the spectral image of deep black holes in the universe. The special feature of this stage is the use of Vortex technology in performing arts, which is known as one of the most modern projection technologies in the world today.

In this project, Reich applied advanced techniques and high expertise to meet all safety and quality requirements. At the same time, it also had to ensure that the visual, sound, light, laser, water, fire effects, etc. of Vortex technology could be conveyed vividly and optimally in the performances.

1. Aluminum – glass system surrounding the grandstand area

The exterior system of the grandstand area includes the following parts: facade, doors, folding sliding doors, automatic sliding doors, hydraulic doors, etc. Each detail is carefully calculated to ensure a safe structure and suitability for the special location of the project. The surface of the aluminum undergoes a powder coating process, providing high durability and effectively resisting corrosion in the marine environment. The commitment to a warranty of up to 20 years is a clear demonstration of the quality and durability of the aluminum system in harsh environments.

In the exterior glass system of the Signature Show project grandstand, Reich has applied a series of advanced techniques and materials to create a beautiful and modern space that can still fully promote the effects of light. Demonstrated through the use of double-glazed glass and laminated glass, with outstanding features:

Super Clear Glass: special type of glass used in glass locations in the lighting room.

  • This is a Low-E glass coated with an extra layer of super clarity with sound insulation, high light transmittance and low reflection. Ensure that not only light but also sound is effectively controlled, creating a comfortable and quality environment.
  • High light transmittance with VLTmin: 94%
  • Color rendering index CRI reaches 98, 99%.

Super Clear Tempered Laminated Glass:

  • 17.52mm thickness
  • Coated with 2 layers of super clear AR, ensuring high light transmission (VLTmin: 96%).
  • VLR reflectivity is only 2%, minimizing light reflection.
  • Imported from China, ensuring quality and performance.

Super Clear Semi-Tempered Laminated Glass:

  • Thickness 31.52mm
  • 3 layers of super clear AR coating, high light transmittance (VLTmin: 94%).
  • VLR reflectivity is only 3%, optimizing light efficiency.
  • Imported from China, ensuring full compliance with technical requirements.

2. External sound-absorbing perforated panel system

To ensure soundproofing for the space inside the auditorium and soundproofing the outside auditorium, Reich used perforated sound-absorbing panels. Most of the outer wall and ceiling of the seating area were calculated and used 2mm thick CNC perforated aluminum panels combined with 2 layers of Rockwool soundproofing with a thickness of 50mm (density 60kg/m3) and 100mm (density 40kg/m3). This structure ensures that the sound transmitted is effectively absorbed and eliminated into the panel, creating a quality and comfortable sound environment.

In particular, the system of perforated sound-absorbing panels also uses hot-dip galvanized steel structure and 3-layer Epoxy paint (including 1 primer coat and 2 finishing coats), which is an important step to ensure resistance to sea salt corrosion at level C5, suitable for the harsh environment of the sea area.

3. Black Hole light box system

The Black Hole light box system has been built with unique features and high technical and aesthetic requirements. It includes 49 separate light boxes of quite large size mounted on 3 Black Hole arch bridges. This is the detail that creates the main effects of water surface color, thus requiring high technical, aesthetic and glass parameters.

Reich demonstrated professional coordination, requiring high technical measures in the process of constructing steel structures at the project. The steel structure was constructed directly at the construction site, in actual coordination with the Black Hole arched steel structure, ensuring uniformity and durability for the entire system on the project. With the use of imported 17.52mm super clear semi-tempered laminated glass, with a high light transmittance of up to 96%, the Black Hole lighting system ensures the most realistic lighting effect quality, reaching 98-99%. Large glass panels are integrated into the design, creating a fascinating lighting space, highlighting details and creating unique artistic accents.

It can be said that Reich’s ability to master advanced techniques has been excellently demonstrated at the Signature Show project. Having the opportunity to once again cooperate with Sun Group Corporation in the construction of aluminum and glass for a water music stage with the most modern performance technology in the world is an opportunity for Reich to contribute to creating an artistic and technical masterpiece, enhancing the sophistication and wonderfulness of the performances here. More than that, Reich is always proud to contribute to special, iconic and highly technical works.
